"Chang Jiang Scholars Program" Professors

"Chang Jiang Scholars Program" is a trans-century creative talent program funded by Ministry of Education and Hong Kong LI Ka-Shing Foundation in 1998. This program is mainly operated in China; it aims to attract the young talented people home and abroad to devote themselves to the construction of key subjects in college, cultivate some academic leaders at advanced international level, so as to increase the colleges' creative ability in the state creative system and promote their academic positions abroad. The program provides financial support to the scholars who are invited by Chinese higher education institutes (HEIs) as Special Professors or Lecture Professors. At present there are ten "Chang Jiang Scholars Program" professors in SCUT. They have become academic leaders in their respective fields for their profound academic accomplishments, plentiful and substantial academic fruits; they are promoting the non-stop advancement of education and scientific research in SCUT.
