Educational Objectives:
Objective 1: Foundations] students are cultivated to have a solid foundation of thermal dynamic engineering theory, research methods and approaches, and able to apply knowledge into thermal dynamic engineering practice. Objective 2:[Professional Knowledge]To cultivate students to be proficient in energy transfer, conversion and utilization, equipped with  advanced techniques of  designing, and analyzing related equipment. Students are also expected to master the design and operation maneuvers of the power plant thermal equipments, thermal processes control and the refrigeration and air conditioning systems. The creative capability of solving practical industrial problems with the basic principle of the thermal dynamic engineering is also needed

Speciality Features:
The discipline focuses on the basic principles and methodologies in the energy transition, conversion and utilization, as well as their impacts on the environment. Students are expected to have a scientific viewpoint on the energy utilization and environment protection, solid theoretical foundation of thermal energy and engineering, techniques of thermal energy engineering, refrigeration, cryogenic engineering, and strong ability of practical engineering.  . They are expected to be qualified talents in fields of thermal equipments in power plants, thermal processes automatic control, energy environment protection, design, operation, technology development, planning and management in refrigeration and air conditioning system.
Educational Requirement:
Studying principles and methodologies in energy transfer, conversion and utilization, as well as their environmental impacts, the students will be cultivated in the scientific scope on energy utilization and environmental protection. They are expected to grip solid discipline of thermal physics engineering and power engineering, and master the theoretical bases and technology skills in fields of thermal dynamic engineering power plants, refrigeration and cryogenic technologies systematically, and to be qualified in practical engineering.
