Educational Objectives:
Students of this programme are expected to have a comprehensive theoretical foundation and a good ability in performing practices in environmental science engineering.
Objective 1: [Solid Foundations] to master the basic knowledge, specific principles and methodology of mathematic, physics, chemistry, biology and earth science. Through participating in practices, students will acquire the research skills to solve specific environmental problems and apply the foundations to the practices of environment science.

Specialty Features:
Environmental science is a comprehensive emerging discipline that combining integrative information from many relevant disciplines together such as earth science, biology, chemistry, mathematics, social science and economics. Through study of basic theory and specific knowledge as well as practice of applied research and environmental management, students will acquire good scientific background, ability of research, management and international communication, methodology of environmental monitoring and assessment, and skills of environmental planning and management.
Educational Requirement:
The students major in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering will study basic knowledge and principles related to mathematics, physics, chemistry, life science, geosciences and engineering. The students will be trained to work on scientific computing, laboratory experiment and measurement and to improve their ability of research, management and problem solving. The students are requested to take courses to obtain related knowledge and skills.
