Educational Objectives:
To cultivate high-level engineers and technicians who are qualified for the demands of modern construction of socialism and scientific technology developments, and also qualified with morality, intelligence and good physical conditions. In addition, we cultivate students who are professional in water supply and sewage engineering in city, country and industry applications.
Objective 1: [Foundations] to cultivate students to have basic knowledge of natural science and social science; to have the experimental skills of water supply and sewage engineering, extensive civil engineering, environmental engineering; to acquire some basic knowledge of water protection and water resource, and techniques of utilizing water resources; Students should prepare to apply knowledge they learned into water supply and sewage engineering.
Objective 2: [Problem solving ability] to cultivate students to have better self-learning and creative abilities; Students are expected to keep learning and find out creative methods to solve problems; they should have advanced spirits and innovations for new technologies.
Objective 3: [Teamwork/Leadership] to cultivate students to have the abilities of cooperation and communication.
Objective 4: [Engineered Systems] to equip students with engineering techniques managing and organizing water supply, sewage engineering construction, manufacturing process, and equipment operating
Objective 5: [Societal Impact] students are cultivated to emphasize the protection of water resource and environment, and the safety of drinking water.
Objective 6: [Global Awareness] to cultivate students to have clear view of globalization and commit their duties competitively and responsibly.
Objective 7: [Lifelong Learning] to cultivate students to have the skills of water supply and sewage engineering incities and buildings, water resource protection, and the planning, designing, construction,  management, education and science studying skills of industrial water supply and sewage.
Programme Features:
1. Some featured courses will be given by senior engineers outside our university.
2. The ability of student will be improved by engineering projects.
3. The tutorial system will be applied for each student.
Educational Requirement:
students are expected to learn basic knowledge and theories of civil water supply and sewage treatment engineering, civil water supply and pipe engineering, building water supply and sewage engineering, as well as industrial water supply and sewage treatment engineering; they should have basic trainings of engineering survey, scientific calculation, experiments and test; they are also expected to employ what they have learned to solve practical problems, to do the scientific researches and to have basic abilities of organization and management.
