The Innovation Class is designed to cultivate innovative talents with both ability and political integrity in the field of mathematics and applied mathematics. Through the program  students are expected to establish a good mathematical basis and a broad knowledge framework of mathematics by means of  strict training of mathematical thinking. The programme aims to enable students to not only master basic theories and basic methods of mathematics and applied mathematics, but also to understand the most advanced and developed trends in relation to mathematical sciences, as well as to have the ability to analyze and solve problems independently. The majority of the graduates of the programme will continue pursuing their further study in relation to mathematics, and the rest will carry on with postgraduate study in mathematical-related disciplines, such as economy, finance, and management. All students have the capability to be engaged further in high-level scientific research in all areas of mathematics and applied mathematics.
Objective 1: [Solid foundation of knowledge] to form a broad and solid knowledge foundation of mathematics and applied mathmatics, with the integration of humanities and social science, and foreign language literacy; to have a clear and most up-to-date understanding of the developments in relation to the discipline.
Objective 2: [Problem-solving skills] to have the potential ability to apply mathematical theories to the analysis and solving of both theoretical and practical problems in the relevant areas.
Objective 3: [System cognitive and innovation capability] to establish the ability of logical reasoning , good numeracy literacy, basic skills and practice methods in relation to mathematical application; to acquire a clear understanding of  relevant techniques in relation to mathematical applications.
Objective 4: [Teamwork/Leadership] to have the abilities required for teamwork, including efficient organizing and managing, interpersonal communication skills and also role-playing ability in collaboration. 
Objective 5: [Social Impact] to establish a correctly view and understanding of the potential impacs  automation science and automation technology can have on people's daily life and on social economic structures.
Objective 6: [Global Awareness] to establish international view and competition awareness in a globalized context, and to have the ability of intercultural communication, competition and cooperation.
Objective 7: [Lifelong Learning]to have the ability of self-development, self-study and lifelong learning.
    This programme puts emphasis on methods of basic theory, basic training, mathematical modeling, computer and software training on mathematics and applied mathematics. The programme prepares students with the capabilities of scientific research, good spatial imagination, logical reasoning, abstract thinking and analysis, and also with a strong sense of mathematical application and the ability to use computer in solving mathematically-related issues. Our graduates have the flexibility and potentiality which enable them to have the advantage in meeting a wide range of social needs in the job market.
Educational Requirement:
    The objective system of each course is composed of a corresponding set of cultivation purposes, which are the appropriate knowledge, ability and quality that students are supposed to gain.
