Educational Objectives:
Students of this programme are expected to have a solid theoretical foundation and a good ability in performing practices in computer science with innovation and self-study ability.
Objective 1 [Fundamental Knowledge] Students of the programme are expected to have good English skills, and to build a solid fundamental knowledge frame including the knowledge of basic principles concerning the discipline, methods and skills in computer science and technology; to make good preparation for applying the fundamental knowledge to the researches of computer science and technology as well as the engineering practice by making use of the advanced techniques, like system analysis, modeling and computing.
Objective 2 [Problem-solving Capability] Students should creatively apply fundamental knowledge of computer science and engineering to solve the problems encountered in practice or in the industry.
Objective3 [Teamwork/Leadership] Students should have capabilities of cooperation and communication in the team work, and then possess the leadership ability in the area of computer science and engineering.
Objective 4 [Engineering System Cognitive Ability] Students should have the relevant knowledge of computing, networking and information systems by studying basic principles and technologies of computer science, study the hardware and software developments, and design information systems in the research, development and application of computer hardware and software. Students are expected to establish some good senses of engineering and efficiency, a systematic integration of cognition and practice, and also the ability to apply bottom-up and top-down analyses to actual problems.
Objective 5 [Social Impact Evaluation Capability] Students should build up a clear understanding concerning the societal impacts information technology developments can lead to, and also concerning  the potential effects that the design and the application of computer systems can have on people’s daily life,  the industrial and commercial structure, and the health condition of human beings in general. 
Objective 6 [Global Perspective] Students should maintain clear-minded in the globalized environment, and carry out their duties responsibly and competitively.
Objective 7 [Lifelong Learning] Graduates from Computer Science and Technology can be engaged in research, or find jobs in industries and enterprises concerning software and hardware developments, and also computer research and application in finance and management institutions. Students of the programme are also able to carry out further study in Master and PhD and hence have the ability of lifelong learning.
Programme Features
The programme focuses on training students to have the awareness of technology creativity, application and research. Through the programme with classes taught in English ONLY, students can obtain the the most advanced develpoments in computer science, thereby establishing a globalized perspective and also good cross-cultural communication skills. The general basic courses and major-related compulsory courses are taught in Egnlish, leading to an international teaching-and-studying context. In addition, the programme has many specialties for students to choose and focus on, including student-run research projects such as Student Research Project and Second Classroom. The programme has a Bachelor-Master-Phd continuity education system for students to have strong academic performance.
