Talks on Academic by Famous Academic Periodicals, The First Social Sciences Workshop is Well Received

On April 28th, the first Social Science Workshop activity, “Talks on Academic by Famous Academic Periodicals” High-level Forum was held in South China University of Technology (Wushan Campus). This forum was attended by more than 200 people, including directors of the SCUT Office of Social Science Administration, the School of Public Administration, the  School of Maxism as well as teachers and students from SCUT, and Tao Shaojing, Standing Members of the CPC SCUT Committee delivered a speech in this forum.


The meeting

She pointed out that the Chinese Communist Party and the country have paid high attention to the development of philosophy and social science since the 18th National Congress of Communist Party of China was held, and they also produced a series of guidelines and policies to boom the development of philosophy and social science. How to push forward the overall reform of philosophy and social science requires close cooperation between the academic circle, periodical circle and publishing industry. The guest speakers of this forum were senior experts from our periodicals and publishing agencies, who had rich experiences on academic publishing and academic communications. It was believed that this forum will inject new vitality to the researches on philosophy and social science of SCUT, and provide a higher academic communication platform for the big development of philosophy and social science of SCUT.


Tao Shaojing delivered a speech

This forum was hosted by the SCUT Office of Social Science Administration, School of Public Administration and School of Maxism, and undertook by the Public Policy Research Center of SCUT. This forum invited many famous editorial specialists to make speeches, which included Su Yang (the associate editor of the Management World), Li Mingxia (chief editor of the Politics), Xie Yahong (associate editor of Chinese Public Administration), Jiang Zhongxiao (chief editor of Social Sciences in Guangdong), Zhu Yapeng (director of the Editorial Department of Journal of Public Administration), Zhang Li (editorial staff of Journal of China Renmin Social Sciences Information Center) and so on. These specialists presented some major problems on paper writings and publishing, by showing some typical cases. These reports were rich in content, vivid and well-received by the attended teachers and students.
