SCUT and Rutgers University will expand cooperation in teaching and research, which will make Rutgers University a vital partner in SCUT’s blueprint of building the Guangzhou International Campus.

Lily Young, Provost of Rutgers University–New Brunswick, visited the SCUT campus on June 9 to have a meeting with Zhu Min, SCUT’s Vice President.

The two universities, in further steps of their joint effort at the Sino-America Innovation College, are expected to carry out more collaboration in environmental engineering and other disciplines.

The Sino-America Innovation College was founded in 2012 by SCUT and a few top universities in the US, including Rutgers University as a key partner. The initiative aimed to foster advanced innovative ability and global vision in high-performance students, as well as to conduct scientific research in multiple areas.

International classes based on the college produced fruitful results in the last few years. Up till now, SCUT has sent over 200 students to Rutgers University for dual training programs.
