The Chinese State Council has recently selected SCUT as a demonstration site for developing mass entrepreneurship and innovation.

Since the concept of mass entrepreneurship and innovation was first proposed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in 2014, it has been viewed as a new engine for China’s economic growth with its capacity of injecting creative vigor into the public.

This is the second time for the State Council to announce demonstration sites for the national initiative. 92 units were newly added by this batch, as 26 of them were universities and research institutions.

Up till now, 19 universities, including SCUT, have been included in the program, which aims to provide experiences and supports to enterprises of different sizes, the employment market and the transformation of economic functions.
