On Nov. 12, 2014, Outstanding Fine Arts Exhibition of the 12th Guangdong Art Festival(GAF) was held at Guangdong Museum of Art. Kongguyoulan (which means orchids blooming at a breezy valley), a print drawn by ZHENG Feng who is a teacher of School of Design, SCUT, won a gold award in the festival. CHEN Yunxian, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, FANG Jianhong, Head of the Department of Culture, Guangdong Province, and XU Qinsong, president of Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, attended the opening ceremony and gave awards to winners.

It was the first time that the exhibition of fine arts was included in Guangdong Art Festival, which represented the strength of Guangdong young artists. Among the nearly 1,000 pieces of works across Guangdong, only 294 works were exhibited. Four gold awards, 12 silver awards, 23 bronze awards, and 47 excellence awards were selected at last. All those were the outstanding art works over the past three years in Guangdong.
