Educational Objectives:
The programme aims at cultivating compound talents who master advanced technologies and can be engaged in fields such as mechanical equipment, automation of mechanical manufacturing, engineering design, operation management and marketing. There are seven objectives in this course programme.
Objective 1:[Foundations] training students to form a solid understanding of basic professional principles, methods and means, to possess the good humanities, a strong sense of social responsibility and professional ethics of engineering.
Objective 2: [the ability to solve problems] cultivating students to use the fundamental knowledge of mechatronic engineering, mechanical and electrical disciplines to solve problems creatively in actual industrial practices and to meet the industrial needs.
Objective 3: [Teamwork/Leadership] cultivating students' ability of communicating and cooperating within a team, so that they can have the leadership ability of in the field of Mechatronic engineering.
Objective 4: [cognitive ability of engineering systems] developing students' ability to have a preliminarily understanding of mechanical and electronic engineering and to use various technologies, skills and modern engineering tools in actual practices, to have the ability to design mechanical and electrical systems, components and processes, and to be innovative in the research, development and design on new products, processes, technology and equipment.
Objective 5: [the professional ability to evaluate the social influence] cultivating students to have a correct understanding of the laws and regulations of vocations and industries related with mechanical engineering, and be familiar with he policies, laws and regulations of environmental protection and sustainable development, policies and legal regulations, correctly understand the impact of engineering on the objective world and the society; have a broad range of knowledge, and knowledge of the problems of modern society, and then to realize the impact of Mechatronic Engineering on the world and the social.
Objective 6: [global perspective] students must be conscious, responsible and competitive in the globalized world, along with international vision, the ability of cooperation and competition and cross-cultural communication skills.
Objective 7: [Lifelong Learning] graduates are qualified to engage in design, research, manufacturing, development, management and teaching in industrial enterprises, research institutions, colleges and universities related with mechatronic engineering, and have the ability to take on various careers and life-long learning process.
Course Features
This major takes the advanced production engineering technologies of manufacturing industry as the foundation, integrating the relevant technologies of optoelectronics, microelectronics, automation, computer and information management. The major focuses on cultivating students to master a solid theoretical foundation and basic knowledge in mechanical engineering and microelectronics technology and have the appropriate knowledge and ability in comprehensive application of the computer, optical and electro-hydraulic gas production systems and enterprise management.

Knowledge Structure:
A1 Fundamental knowledge of literature, history, philosophy and art;
A2 Introductory knowledge of social science research methods;
A3 Fundamental and frontier knowledge of natural science and engineering technologies;
A4 ;A4 Fundamental knowledge of mathematics and logic;
A5 Basic theories and principles of mechanical engineering and mechanical discipline, and the essential knowledge of engineering and computer;
A6 Knowledge of management on production and operation of mechanonical products
A7 Professional knowledge in design, manufacturing and automation for mechatronics products;
A8 Cross-cultural and interdisciplinary, international knowledge
