Programme Objectives:
The program provides education and training which would train students into compound talents who are equipped with advanced engineering technologies, can meet the demands of the economical, technological and social development, are able to develop not only intellectually, but also to acehive physical, ethical and aesthetical enhancement. Graduates of the programme can be engaged in research and development of new products as well as management concerning industrial processing. The seven objectives of the programme are listed as follow:
Objective 1: [solid fundamental knowledge] through this programme, students are able to master the basic knowledge of professional principles, methods and means, and to prepare themselves for applying the knowledge into the practice of processing equipment and control engineering by contacting and mastering the advanced methods of processing equipment design,processing, failure analysis,modeling , control and so on.
Objective 2: [the ability to solve problems) to have the abilities to creatively use the basic principle of process equipment and control engineering to solve the problems they meet in the practice or in the industry requirement.
Objective 3: [Teamwork/Leadership] to have the abilities of cooperation and leadership so as to use them in the fields of process equipment and control engineering.
Objective 4: [Engineered Systems] to know that the basic principles of process equipment analysis, design and control constitue the base for the research, design, manufacture, R & D of high-tech products in certain industries including chemical, energy, natural gas, machinery, petroleum, environmental protection, textile, food and etc. .
Objective 5: [Social Impact] to correctly deal with the potential impacts hat the process equipment design and industry control can have on people’s daily life and health, as well as the impacts on the economic structure within industry and commerce.
Objective 6: [global perspective] to stay clear-minded in the globalized environment, and to perform with a sense of responsibility and competitive passion.
Objective 7: [Lifelong Learning] Process equipment and control engineering graduates can be engaged in numerous fields and areas, including research, design, manufacturing, high-tech product research and technology management of the process equipment, control systems in machinery, environmental protection, household appliances, light industry, food, chemical, natural gas, oil and other industries and sectors. They can also participate in research and teaching in universities or colleges. They are in full position of gaining a variety of career experience and lifelong learning.
Speciality Features:
This major covers industry areas such as process equipment design and control. We carry out a method of big scope and wide direction to run a school, focusing on students’ practical ability and innovative ability. Our objective is to cultivate talented people who are engaged in process equipment design, mechanical manufacturing automation, process equipment control and other areas.
