The program provides education and training which would train students into compound talents who are equipped with advanced engineering technologies, can meet the demands of the economical, technological and social development, are able to develop not only intellectually, but also to acehive physical, ethical and aesthetical enhancement. Graduates of the programme can be engaged in research and development of new products as well as management concerning industrial processing. The seven objectives of the programme are listed as follow:
Objective 1: [solid fundamental knowledge] [solid fundamental knowledge] through this programme, students are able to master the basic knowledge of solid basic professional principles, methods and means. Through contacting and mastering the advanced methods in relation to processing equipment design, processing, modeling, computational control and also electrical and mechanical control, students are able to prepare themselves for applying the learned basic knowledge to the practice of processing equipment and control engineering
Objective 2: (the ability to solve problems) to train the students to creatively utilize the basic principles and knowledge of process equipment and control engineering (light industry machinery and plastic mold) to solve the problems which occur in practice and industrial demand.
Objective 3: [Teamwork/Leadership] to cultivate the students' ability of communicating and cooperating within a team, so that they can have the leadership ability in the field of vehicle (automotive) engineering.
Objective 4: [the cognitive ability on  engineering system] to make the students aware that the process equipment and control engineering play an important role in mechanical engineering, especially in realizing the technological process of Light Chemical industry.
Objective 5: to make the students correctly treat the potential impact which the process equipment and control engineering (light industry machinery and plastic mold) have on the objective world,society, as well as social and economic structure,so that they can have the certain professional ability to evaluate the social influence
Objective 6: [Global perspective] to make the students maintain clear awareness and competitively and responsibly perform their duties in the global environment.
Objective 7: [Lifelong Learning] Process equipment and control engineering graduates can be engaged in research, design, manufacturing, high-tech product research and technology management of the process equipment and control systems in machinery, environmental protection, household appliances, light industry, food, chemical, natural gas, oil and other industries and sectors, and can research and teaching in research units, universities or related disciplines, be capable of a variety of career experience, and be capable of lifelong learning.
Specialty Features:
The programme focuses on Process Equipment and Control Engineering. With the specialty in light industry machinery, the programme also includes a wide range of subjects and also flexible training sessions. Students have the chance to not only master the basic knowledge of technical theory of the fields of mechanics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer engineering, and also have the professional knowledge of process equipment control, plastic machinery and mold design. In this course, students can receive training concerning modern process equipment engineers. The course focuses on students’ abilities of question-and-solution and innovation, and cultivates students’ essential capacity of engaging in fields such as plastic, food & packaging machinery and mold, and other light industrial direction of the process equipment engineering design, manufacturing, technology development, scientific research, production organization and management and so on.
Educational Requirement:
    Main subjects include mechanics, mechanical, control, light industry, chemical industry, computer technology and humanity, through which students are able to acquire knowledge not merely specific to the major but also relevnt to other interdisciplinary courses, and also to receive a more systematic training of skills and scientific research of process mechanical design and control engineering (light industry machinery and plastic mold direction).
