Educational Objectives: 
It aims at training students to be well developed morally, intellectually and physically, to possess the solid academic foundation with high quality and flexible adaptation to academic and social changes, to understand the development trend of mathematical sciences, to use mathematical knowledge and computer-assisted mathematical modeling methods to analyze and solve problems. Most graduate students will have research training by highly qualified specialists and will be able to pursue their future careers in science and technology, education, economic and corporate, business and research and teaching in research institutes, or in the production and operation and management engaged in practical applications, research and development and management. It also paves ways for further study and scientific research in all areas of mathematics, applied mathematics and relevant interdisciplinary  subjects.

Speciality Features:
This speciality puts emphasis on methods of basic theory, basic training, mathematical modeling, computer and software training on mathematics and applied mathematics. The program prepares students with initial capacity of scientific research, good spatial imagination, logical reasoning ability, abstract thinking ability of the basic theory of analysis, a strong sense of mathematics and computer application technology to solve practical problems, with the broader needs of society and strong development potential.
