Educational Objectives:
cultivate the students to adhere to the four cardinal principles , grasp the theory of Political Science, Administration, Economics, Management, develop the ability of organizing, coordinating, transaction processing, foreign language communicating and using computers for information processing.
Objective 1: [Foundations] cultivate the students with a wide range of knowledge, grasping and utilizing the knowledge of Political Science, Administration, Economics, Law, Science & Technology, quantitative & qualitative analysis method, and IT skill, for laying theoretical foundation of engaging in social practice.
Objective 2: [Problem Addressing Competence] train the students to creatively exercise the fundamental theory of administrative management and certain public sector management professional knowledge to analyze and solve the problem in practice, especially for participating in the distribution & evaluation of public resource, formulation & analysis of public policy, and deal with the public crisis.
Objective 3: [Teamwork/ Leadership] cultivate the students with inter-personal communication and collaboration Capability; strengthen their role-perception, consciousness for responsibility, capability of prediction, decision and organization & coordination.
Objective 4: [Perception Competence for Public Administration] help students to learn that professional knowledge of Administrative Management is the theoretical and methodological base of state-governing, to learn the principle and governing methods of societal development, to know the basic process and routine of government administration & function, to apprehend the relationships between government, market & society, power and responsibility, equity and efficiency, democracy and rule-of-law.
Objective 5: [Societal Impact Evaluation] help the students to understand the impact of the government architecture & function, public policy, civil servant behavior on economical & social change.
Objective 6: [Global Awareness] help the students to possess a global outlook, good command in cross-cultural management & exchange, to creatively realize the local innovation with international experience.
Objective 7: [Life-long Learning] Administrative management graduate students are qualified for various levels of government sectors, enterprises and NGOs, in the personnel department, comprehensive planning department, propaganda department (engaging in management, policy analysis and scientific research work) and have the ability of lifelong learning.
Speciality Features:
The undergraduate program of Administrative Management aims at developing and cultivating professional administrative management personnel for public and private sectors, so as to achieve the mission of administrative renovation and contribute to the economical-social development. The program aims at preparing students for professional careers in related administrative agencies of government and other public sectors, enterprises, civil organizations, and also for their further learning and academic research. We attempts to make students not only grasp the basic theories and knowledge of Public Administration, Management Science, Political Science, Economics, Law, Policy Science and Computer Science and other related disciplines, but also have good command of the principles, policies and regulations of the relevant domestic and international operational practices. What’s more, it also makes a highlight that students should possess comprehensive abilities such as teamwork & coordination, competence of public relations, innovative capability and autonomous learning capability, information processing, communication and inter-personal skills etc..
