Educational Objectives:
Objective 1: [Foundation Knowledge] Equipping students with the solid foundation  knowledge of Japanese pronunciation, grammar, with a focus on the practical skill-training in listening and speaking. 
Objective 2: [Linguistic Practical Ability] Equipping students with cross-cultural communication competence and linguistic practical abilities such as writing, translating, etc, on the basis of their good mastery of listening, speaking, and reading skills.
Objective 3: [Independent Research Ability] Equipping students with independent research ability on the basis of their good mastery of basic knowledge of Japanese, social sciences and humanities.
Objective 4: [One Specialty with Versatile Capabilities] Training students to have a good mastery of Japanese, and an understanding of English, with basic knowledge of natural sciences and computer application skills.
Objective 5: [Global Awareness] Equipping students with clear global awareness to execute their duties responsibly and competitively in global settings
Objective 6: [Lifelong Learning] Training students with sound ideological quality and professional ethics, and proper development in ethics, intellect, and physique. Equipping them with lifelong learning capability. Enabling students of Japanese major to work in sectors like international organizations, enterprises in Japan, foreign-funded enterprises in China, foreign trade, government agencies, Japanese teaching, etc.

A1 Fundamental knowledge of literature, history, philosophy and art;
A2 Fundamental knowledge of social science research methods;
A3 Fundamental knowledge of natural science;
A4 Fundamental knowledge of Japanese Language;
A5 Core knowledge of Japanese language;
A6 Fundamental knowledge of Cross-cultural communication;
A7 The ability equivalent to Band-4 level of College English Test;
A8 Knowledge of business, finance, foreign trade, etc;

Ability Requirements
B1 Proficiency in Japanese listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation;
B2 The ability of applying Japanese expertise and basic knowledge of humanities and social sciences into independent study;

B5 Preliminary aesthetic ability on the literary and artistic work;
