State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Architecture Science

The laboratory, approved in 2007 by the State Ministry of Science and Technology, is the only national key architecture laboratory in universities of the country. It was built on the basis of "Subtropical Architectural Science Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education", with 2 first-level disciplines of architecture and civil engineering as its core, with other related subjects such as acoustics, optics, transportation, environment and materials integrated, and three major research directions, including planning and designing, environment and energy-consuming, structure and safety. There are 112 fixed and mobile staff, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, 26 doctoral supervisors and 39 professors.
